About the Author:
Alan Herdman introduced Pilates to London in the early 1970's having learned the method in New York. He has set-up Pilates studios in London as well as around the world. As a teacher-trainer he has passed on his knowledge and expertise to many Pilates teachers. Anna Selby, an established writer who has been involved in many forms of dance and exercise, was the first to write about Pilates in the UK in 1985. Subsequently she has written many other books on exercise and health. She is now a freelance features writer for a variety of UK newspapers and magazines
