About the Author:

Michael W. Eysenck is one of the best-known psychologists in Europe. He is Emeritus Professor of Psychology in the psychology department at Royal Holloway University of London. He is especially interested in cognitive psychology (about which he has written several books) and most of his research focuses on the role of cognitive factors in anxiety within normal and clinical populations.

Review:

Simply Psychology, Third Edition, is undoubtedly the most up-to-date and empirically oriented concise introduction to psychology. My students enjoy the compact format and the emphasis on scientific evidence. I highly recommend Simply Psychology as the best short introductory textbook.’ – Erik Lykke Mortensen, Professor of Medical Psychology, Institute of Public Health, University of Copenhagen, Denmark

‘This is a welcome new edition of a popular introductory text, written in an accessible conversational style, with useful evaluation, summary, and self-assessment sections. Everyday examples are used to illustrate key theories and approaches, making the text particularly appealing to those new to psychology and to those needing to apply psychological principles to professional practice.’ – Helena M. Priest, Senior Lecturer in Clinical Psychology, Keele University, UK

‘This book provides an excellent introduction to psychology, and will be useful to students on a wide range of academic and professional courses. Taken together the chapters present a broad overview of the subject, with depth as well as breadth, and the style is clear and accessible.’ – Evie Bentley, Advisor for Psychology, West Sussex Adult and Community Learning, UK
