About the Author:
Converted at seventeen, Reggie Weems married his childhood sweetheart and served as an Egyptian linguist for the U.S. government before assuming his first of two pastorates at the age of twenty-two. He is presently engaged in DMin studies on church leadership at Liberty University (Lynchburg, VA) and PhD studies in historical theology at the University of Babes-Bolyai in Cluj, Romania. After two decades of his leadership, Heritage Baptist Church reflects Reggie's passion for the global acknowledgement of Jesus Christ
Review:
There will never be enough professional missionaries to reach a lost world. Only when the massive resources of grassroots Christians are mobilized and every church catches a vision for strategic involvement in God's mission around the world will the kingdom of God be extended to the ends of the earth. Pastor Reggie Weems has captured this concept in this challenging book, Make the world your parish. --Jerry Rankin, President Emeritus, International Mission Board, SBC
A pastor and congregation in line with the heart of Christ and the call of Christ will do whatever is in their power to make Christ known both locally and globally. In Make the World Your Parish, Pastor Reggie Weems has provided us with an enjoyable and vigorous biblical perspective on God's mission as it has been accomplished through faithful generations of past and those who are currently living it out in our day. --Kevin Ezell, President, North American Mission Board
Reggie's passion for mission is contagious; if this book doesn't inspire you to make a global impact, you need to read it again! --Dr Krish Kandiah, Executive Director: England/Churches in Mission, Evangelical Alliance UK
