Published 2007 by Osprey, very good condition. Hitler's Last Gamble: Battle of the Bulge (Graphic History). 48 pages. Planned down to the last detail by Hitler himself, the Battle of the Bulge was the last major German attack on the Western Front. On December 16, 1944, 30 German divisions roared across the Allied Front. The battle that ensued nearly proved disastrous for the Allied forces with some of the harshest fighting conditions of the war. Under-strength, under-equipped and operating in freezing temperatures, the US Army, notably the 101st stationed in Bastogne, fought back, extinguishing German hopes of victory.Featuring first-hand accounts that give the narrative a profoundly human element, this action-packed comic strip provides readers of all ages with a vivid recreation of the attack, remembered as the biggest and bloodiest single battle ever to be fought by the US Army in World War II.. . .

Review:
It is a book that will be enjoyed by young and old alike, but especially the younger crowd who are more drawn to a presentation such as this. An excellent introduction to the battle and one that I know will be enjoyed. "Scott Van Aken, modelingmadness.com (September 2007)" Dan Abnett's Hitler's Last Gamble: Battle of the Bulge is an excellent graphic novel which covers, in full color, the last major German offensive on the Western Front, where thirty German divisions planned an attack to split the Allied forces in two. The graphic novel format makes fro an excellent, vivid story. "The Bookwatch (December 2007)""
