Peter Furtado has been editor of History Today magazine since 1998. He holds degrees in history and art history from Oxford University, and over the last thirty years has edited many reference works on world history.
About the Author:
Peter Furtado was the editor of the highly regarded monthly history magazine History Today for 10 years.  Over the last 30 years, Peter has written, broadcast and edited reference works across a broad range of historical subjects.  He holds degrees in History and Art History from Oxford University and is a fellow of the Royal Historical Society.Michael Wood is the author of several highly praised books on English History, including In Search of the Dark Ages, Domesday, and In Search of England.  He has nearly 100 documentary films to his name, among them Art of the Western World, Legacy, In the Footsteps of Alexander the Great, and Conquistador.
