Dr. Forster is a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Ford School of Public Policy University of Michigan and a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at ARTIS Research and Risk Modeling. From October 2010 to August 2011 she was a Visiting Research Scholar, Strategic Research Department at the Naval War College. She has also been Visiting Research Scholar in the Department of International Relations at Boston University (August 2009–August 2010) and the Department of Government and International Relations at Clark University (May 2008–August 2009). She earned a doctoral degree in political science at the University of Zurich in 2010. She is the author or coauthor of a number of articles and reviews; a book, entitled A Global Force for Good: The U.S. Navy’s Role in Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief, with Professor Albert Shimkus, is forthcoming.
