The spiritual value of Jonathan Edwards' 'Religious Affections' can hardly be exaggerated. But the difficulty of the subject matter, combined with Edwards' tedious writing style and 18th century vocabulary, makes digesting it quite challenging for the modern reader. I am delighted that Christian Focus is releasing this modern edition of Edwards' classic work. Read this book. Let it read you. You will be challenged, convicted, and changed. I commend it highly. Some books from past centuries have proved their timelessness. Jonathan Edwards' "Treatise on Religious Affections" is a perfect example. But sadly, that gets obscured by their time-bound language.
