Review:
The profound truth of our union with Christ is deftly explained in this book. And the ways in which this truth affects the lives of believers, the church, and mission is helpfully laid forth. All believers will benefit from reflecting deeply on its message. ~ Constantine R. Campbell (Associate Professor of New Testament, Trinity Evangelical Divinity School, Deerfield, Illinois)
I have long been an admirer of Steve Timmis, his writings and the wonderful contribution he is to the kingdom of God. This book, In Christ, not only deepens that admiration, but intensifies my affections for Christ. As the title suggests, In Christ, is a thoroughly Christo-centric volume, reminding the believer that everything we are and hope to be is rooted in the person of Christ, and brought about by His precious Holy Spirit. ~ Bryan Loritts (Pastor for Preaching and Mission, Trinity Grace Church and President, The Kainos Movement, New York City)
This is a splendid book, ideal for all Christians. Steve Timmis and Christopher de la Hoyde explains this vital and central truth of the gospel clearly and readably and relates it to a range of real and practical situations which we all face. It deserves a wide readership. ~ Robert Letham (Wales Evangelical School of Theology, Bridgend, Wales)
Do not be deceived by this book's size or weight! Steve Timmis and Christopher de la Hoyde have written something weighty and rich that will be of huge benefit. This is a book, and a doctrine, to return to frequently. ~ Mark Meynell (European Director of Langham Preaching, London)
...the infectious enthusiasm, pastoral sensitivity, and enviable clarity with which he has written In Christ will help you to 'get it'. If you do not daily think of yourself as someone who is 'in Christ' you simply MUST read this book. ~ Sinclair B. Ferguson (Associate Preacher, St Peter's Free Church, Dundee, Scotland)
Timmis and de la Hoyde remind us in this wonderful book of the inestimable blessing of union with Christ...theologically rich but also accessible to the ordinary reader. ~ Thomas R. Schreiner (Professor of New Testament Interpretation, The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, Louisville, Kentucky)
