"The stakes are definitely high enough, though the conflict does require some "suspense of disbelief." Major Charles Donald and his henchmen, and their nefarious scheme, are over-the-top, but that didn't really bother me much because I accepted the story as an old time "yarn" with the bad guys metaphorically wearing black hats. It was also easy to "suspend disbelief" because I so much enjoyed the diverse cast of characters and the highly visual setting of the story. The characters became like friends--kind of like they do in a good TV show like NCIS, where the plot line is almost secondary." --G. Gose
