Grayscale Coloring Suggestions:

Try out all sorts of mediums! You can try out colored pencils, markers, watercolor pencils, crayons, chalk pastels - each will produce a different effect. Favorites are colored pencils and soft pastels.
Wet media such as watercolors do not work as well.
May be helpful to use card stock or heavy duty paper underneath the image you are coloring.
Can use ink or gel pens to outline and go over details.
