Back in December of 2017 I had a political argument with my father. By the time we stopped yelling at each other, we were no closer to having solved anything and had only moved further apart. That conversation sparked the idea for Two Tribes, and that afternoon I wrote the first draft. 
Today, tribalism and political polarization are still on the rise. People are losing trust in one another, growing further apart, and becoming more extreme and assured in their beliefs. Washington is as divided as ever, and the media can't seem to agree on anything. Something has to change. Two Tribes is my small attempt to correct our country's divisiveness. It is an allegorical story about our inherent tribalism and overcoming our differences. I hope it is a reminder to everyone of our shared goals, home, and humanity, and helps the next generation of citizens avoid the mistakes of this generation.
