When the world first learned of Pam Anderson and Tommy Lee’s impromptu wedding, when Sarah Jessica Parker had an explosive falling-out with her Sex and the City castmates, or when Ruth Madoff discovered the truth of Bernie’s marital infidelity, it was all in the pages of Rush & Molloy, the nationally syndicated entertainment column read and by millions. Together, George Rush and Joanna Molloy have made some impressive enemies, turned down bribes, became unlikely relationship counselors to star-crossed lovers, and taught a generation of reporters that, despite all the temptations and excesses, it is possible to write a gossip column with integrity.

Part love story, part tabloid, Scandal is a rollicking memoir of fame, gossip, and two true icons of print and web journalism. Up until their final column in 2010, Rush and Molloy had exposed, unraveled, and reported some of Hollywood’s biggest rumors, blind items, and unbelievable stories. Over the years, the couple has kept salacious tales to themselves featuring celebrities such as Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie, Jay Z, Henry Kissinger, and Oprah that is, until now!

Skyhorse Publishing, along with our Arcade, Good Books, Sports Publishing, and Yucca imprints, is proud to publish a broad range of biographies, autobiographies, and memoirs. Our list includes biographies on well-known historical figures like Benjamin Franklin, Nelson Mandela, and Alexander Graham Bell, as well as villains from history, such as Heinrich Himmler, John Wayne Gacy, and O. J. Simpson. We have also published survivor stories of World War II, memoirs about overcoming adversity, first-hand tales of adventure, and much more. While not every title we publish becomes a New York Times bestseller or a national bestseller, we are committed to books on subjects that are sometimes overlooked and to authors whose work might not otherwise find a home.

From the Author:
George Rush and Joanna Molloy are a husband-and-wife duo who wrote one of America’s most-followed gossip columns, Rush & Molloy, for fifteen years. The gossip-hounding pair wed in 1992 after meeting at the New York Post, where Joanna worked as coeditor of the notorious Page Six. George is a writer and author. Joanna has continued her work in journalism as featured contributor at the New York Daily News. They live in New York City, New York.
Review:
"[Rush and Molloy] have seen it all. The husband and wife team has broken some of the biggest celebrity scandals of the last 15 years. They're talking and naming names in Scandal: A Manual.” Extra

"Rush & Molloy [are] dishing the dirt about virtually every celebrity they ever clinked glasses with, were yelled at by, and wrote up for behavior that ranged from the merely bad to the virtually criminal. And they have a lot of material to draw from..." -- Jacob Bernstein, The New York Times

Scandal: A Manual is a breathlessly enjoyable trek through hot stories, lame spin controls, and how to weather it all with integrity and humor.”
Michael Musto, Out

Three years ago, two of America’s most famous gossip columnists quit the biz because the truth was no longer being told. Twitter allowed celebs to spin their own versions of the truth directly to fans, and Facebook and TMZ made everyone a reporter (fact-checking, be damned). George Rush and Joanna Molloy had had their fill. But this fall the two are back with a book about their 15 years’ gossiping. Scandal: A Manual, details the encounters between the married Rush and Molloy, and the rich and famous they chronicled. There’s the story of Kirstie Alley trying to convince a publicist to breast-feed her baby possum, or that time Donald Trump called to dish about his experiences with Anna Nicole Smith.”
"Hot Type,” Vanity Fair

"Rush & Molloy taught a generation of reporters that despite all the temptations and excesses and stereotypes, it is possible to write a gossip column with integrity. That is their legacy."
-- Gawker

George Rush and Joanna Molloy's SCANDAL: A Manual, The Inside Story of America's Infamous Gossip Columnists is the most fun read I've had all year possibly in several years.”
Huffington Post

Scandal!’ That’s the name of the incredibly entertaining new memoir by George Rush and Joanna Molloy, the married couple and super gossip columnists of the New York Daily News. They have written a breezy but substantial account of their journeys through Wall Street. Broadway, and Hollywood. I wasn’t able to put it down.”
Roger Friedman, ShowBiz 411

"Talking to George Rush and Joanna Molloy, even in a professional capacity, is like whispering in the back of a dark bar with your wisest, still-hip city friends, their married-couple repartee a flurry of boldface names, off-the-record rumors, and back-in-the-day anecdotes..." -- Joe Coscarelli, New York Magazine

You’ll love the tabloid romance of married gossip columnists George Rush and Joanna Molloy while delighting in their dishy misadventures with celebs like Brad Pitt, Julia Roberts and Jennifer Lopez. Grade: A.”
In Touch

Rush and Molloy was for years the New York Daily News version of the Post’s Page Six. There was a difference because their column had a vibe that went for the joke rather than the jugular, whenever possible. Of course it wasn’t always possible in the Naked City (or Jungle), and so it was. Their book is full of those tales of show and woe.”
David Patrick Columbia, New York Social Diary

Husband-and-wife gossip columnists George Rush and Joanna Molloy, formerly of The New York Post and The New York Daily News, have a new tell-all book out. Scandal: A Manual is filled with stories some slightly salacious, others downright shocking gleaned from the couple’s 15-plus years as co-writers. The book has every one of the seven deadly sins lust, gluttony, greed, sloth, wrath, envy and pride. OK, maybe not sloth or gluttony. But plenty of lust. We read those parts twice.”
Shannon Donnelly, Palm Beach News

Scandal is the perfect holiday gift for any of your celeb-obsessed friends and family."
E! Entertainment

"The Rush & Molloy’ column scared the rich, famous and celebrated in the city for 15 years. They never knew what dirt George Rush and Joanna Molloy, famously the only married gossipeuses around, would spill on them. In their forthcoming book, Scandal: A Manual, The Inside Story of America’s Infamous Gossip Columnists,’ they tell how they got the goods on the likes of Julia Roberts, Brad Pitt and even Princess Diana."
New York Daily News

In the heyday of Rush & Molloy the Daily News’ gossip column capstone George Rush and Joanna Molloy fed millions with their unmatched celebrity scoops. A new memoir by the husband-and-wife team, Scandal: A Manual (out this month), chronicles their titillating tales of public figure gossip pre-Internet age.”
Dujour

"For anyone who has encountered Mr. Rush and Ms. Molloy and their wide ranging beat made them ubiquitous on the New York party scene for almost two decades 'Scandal, A Manual’ is exactly like talking to them."
The New York Observer
