Lloyd Newell has served as announcer and writer for the Mormon Tabernacle Choir broadcast, Music and the Spoken Word, for nearly 20 years. He is an associate professor at Brigham Young University and the author of many books, including Let Him Ask of God. He and his wife, Karmel, are the co- authors of A Christmas Treasury for Latter- day Saint Families. Karmel has also written several books for children, including The Trap. They are the parents of four children and live in Alpine, Utah.
