On her first day of second grade, assuring her mother she knows the way to school, Sarah sets out for what becomes a very long trip. Taking a right turn out her front door instead of a left, Sarah wanders off course immediately. But she is too proud to admit she could be wrong and stays the course, ultimately circling the globe to reach her school—two years late for the start of second grade. Featuring clever, lyrical verse that accentuates the story alongside wonderful humor and vibrant illustrations, this picture book has the rare combination of attributes that makes it enjoyable to read over and over again.
