Review:
Charlie's Girl is an extraordinary and heart penetrating book that effectively captures the struggles, hopes, and endearments of a young foster girl. There are dynamics of emotion, misunderstanding, love, forgiveness, and hope. It is a stirring book that will be well worth reading. I didn't want to put it down. --Michael T. Holdaway, author, Amid the Pages, A Penman s Treasure

Charlie's Girl is a moving story of an orphan's journey of discovery across a Southern landscape set in the 1960s. Often heartbreaking and riveting, this finely crafted drama moves at a fast pace. All the characters are fully realized and three-dimensional, not to mention downright fun to listen to, as the authors re-creation of the local dialect is pitch perfect. The central characters are as unforgettable as is this book, which I highly recommend. --Eddy W. Davison, co-author, Nathan Bedford Forrest: In Search of the Enigma

After reading this book, I've wondered just how many wonderful relationships I ve missed out on because I prejudged someone instead of just loving them. This heartwarming book will cause you to reflect on your own relationships and work on making them better. --Nevada Harward, co-author, Make-a-Mix Cookbook series
