About the Author:

Matias Montes Huidobro was born in Sagua la Grande, Cuba, and is a well known writer. A playwright, poet, essayist and novelist, he has received numerous awards, among them the Caf� Gijon award from Spain, Prometeo and Jose Antonio Ramos awards from Cuba, the Rene Ariza award from the United States and the the Fondo de Cultura award from Mexico.
