About the Author:

Sol Gordon, Ph.D., (Chapel Hill, NC) received his B.A. and M.S. from the University of Illinois and his doctorate in psychology from the University of London. He served as chief psychologist at the Philadelphia Child Guidance Clinic and Middlesex County Mental Health Clinic, and enjoys a distinguished career as a psychologist, sex educator, and professor emeritus at Syracuse University. Among Dr. Gordon’s numerous works are Why Love Is Not Enough, How Can You Tell if You’re Really in Love?, and Raising a Child Responsibly in a Sexually Permissive World. He has appeared on such national television programs as The Oprah Winfrey Show.

Elaine Fantle Shimberg (Tampa, FL) is a member of the American Society of Journalists and Authors and the American Medical Writers Association. She holds a B.S. from Northwestern University and an honorary Doctorate of Humane Letters from the University of South Florida. She is the author of twenty books, including Blending Families and Gifts of Time.
