Entries conclude with lists of print and electronic resources, usually from 2004 and 2005. The depth of industry coverage is impressive. For example, the “Entertainment and Recreation” category includes entries on Amusement parks, Gaming, Hotels, Motion picture production and distribution, Sports clubs and promoters, Toys and sporting goods, and Video tape rental and retail. A very useful feature for industry research is the “NAICS Conversion Table,” with the numerical listing of six-digit NAICS codes cross-referenced with four-digit SIC codes. Three helpful indexes are also provided. In addition to the general index, the “SIC Index” is a numerical listing of references based on the four-digit SIC codes, and the “Geographic Index” is an alphabetical listing of countries and regions cited in this edition, subdivided by industry.  This volume will give students, researchers, and investors a solid background in how an industry operates and which countries and companies are major players in it.
