About the Author:

Illustrator Derek Matthews was born in 1950 and studied Graphic Design at the Kingston School of Art, now Kingston University. Derek’s career has varied greatly, with the emphasis always being heavily on creative design. He has worked as a package designer, graphic designer and an artist for an animation studio. In 1977 he became a freelance illustrator. His clients have included The Automobile Association, British Airways, The Sunday Times, the Food and Drink Federation, Talking Pages and Coca-Cola.
