About the Author:
Richard G. Williams, Jr. is a businessman, publisher, and writer. He is a regular columnist for Business Reform Magazine and The Chalcedon Journal. His articles have also appeared in HomeSchooling Today Magazine, as well as on a number of popular websites, including LewRockwell.com. Williams is particularly qualified to write about War Between the States subjects. He is the descendant of two Confederate soldiers and currently serves as Chaplain for the Stonewall Brigade Camp of the Sons of Confederate Veterans in Lexington, VA. Williams is also a member of the SCV's literary organization, The Bonnie Blue Society. Being a 7th generation Virginian, and living in the historic Shenandoah Valley of Virginia, brings the author especially close to the region’s rich history. Williams also maintains a busy speaking schedule. He recently spoke at Liberty University’s annual Civil War Seminar and has spoken at Lee Chapel on the campus of Washington and Lee University in Lexington. He is currently working on several other books on War Between the States subjects. Maxims has received a number of positive reviews and the Lee Chapel Museum and Gift Shop calls Maxims "One of our best-selling items!"

Leura Books

Book Description Softcover. Condition: Very Good. All his life, Robert E. Lee relied upon his faith for strength and guidance not only in troubled times, but also as the foundation upon which he based all of his dealings with others. In this age where self-interest often rules, these short statements, often jotted by General Lee at odd moments, provide young readers with some of the qualities that Lee practiced himself: humility, erudition, faith, duty, wisdom, and respect for all God's creations. Each section is preceded by a brief anecdote from his life, and each of the quotes is described with the time and circumstance. 113 pages. Quantity Available: 1. Shipped Weight: Under 1 kilogram.
