Collaborations, cooperation, and partnerships are key words in the library community these days, particularly when funding is short and programming needs are great. Lynch provides a 25-year history of the partnerships developed by Broward County Library in Fort Lauderdale, FL, which was selected as "Library of the Year" by Gale Research/Library Journal in 1996. This guide outlines a dozen of the more than 500 cooperative agreements that are still in place. The chapters, written primarily by librarians and library directors, explain each effort: the why of the partnership, how-to, analysis, and summary. The range of this small sampling is impressive; it includes collaborations in art, business, children's services, education, and technology. Small black-and-white photographs and reproductions of flyers and logos appear throughout. Two written agreements are appended. This book offers a model and inspiration for libraries ready to look beyond basic budgets.-Linda Beck, Indian Valley Public Library, Telford, PA
