About the Author:

Bill Nowlin has written, edited, and co-edited more than 75 books, mostly on baseball history. A co-founder of American roots music label Rounder Records (and a member of the International Bluegrass Music Hall of Fame), in the late 1990s, he began to devote more time to researching baseball. Bill Nowlin has been on the Board of Directors of the Society for American Baseball Research since 2004. He lives in Cambridge, Massachusetts, within walking distance of Fenway Park.
