About the Author:

Professor Allan Wernick, a nationally recognized attorney and expert on immigration law and procedure, is a professor at Baruch College, City University New York, and Chair of CUNY’s Citizenship and Immigration Project. Prof. Wernick’s weekly column, "Immigration and Citizenship" is syndicated by King Features Syndicate, and his column, "Immigration Advice", appears every Thursday in the New York Daily News.
