The writers, Doug and Melissa Timberlake, Wenda Shereos, and Elaine Hurst, have accumulated between them decades of hands-on thematic worship planning in local churches. All four have a passion for giving pastors and worship teams the means to communicate the gospel effectively in a sight and sound culture.

About the Author:

Doug and Melissa Timberlake met at Miami University of Ohio where they were both theater majors. Since graduating from college, they have used their drama training and creative communication skills to serve the church. While studying at Asbury Seminary, they toured the churches in the middle south performing Smoke on the Mountain. Since working at The Chapel of the Air, they have been involved extensively in national daily radio and television broadcasting. Both write, direct, and produce video productions for the 50-Day Spiritual Adventures, which are used annually in some 4,000 churches and by hundreds of thousands of participants. The Timberlakes have founded several improvisational groups and now conduct Comedy Cafs-events of laughter designed as outreach events for seekers.

Wenda Shereos is a professional actress, singer, producer, director, and writer. The Director of the Worship Programming Team at Hope Evangelical Free Church in Springfield, Illinois, she also heads Prologue, Hope's drama team. Wenda is a pastor's wife and holds a master's degree in communication. She is the founder and Executive Director of Next Step Drama Ministries.

Elaine Hurst is a creative consultant on the programming team at Hope Free Church in Springfield, Illinois, where she has served in this position since 1990. That role has provided her with years of hands-on experience in thematic worship planning. As a musician, she has toured nationally as stage manager with Christian recording artists Brian Duncan, Russ Taff, and Sheila Walsh-among others. Her passion is to work with local churches to help in the discovery of innovative ways to communicate the truth of Scripture with relevance to today's culture and to create "moments" that last a lifetime.
