Milwaukee fans were stunned and heart-broken when their beloved Braves departed for Atlanta after the 1965 season, but their spirits were revived when local businessman Allan "Bud" Selig made it his life's purpose to bring baseball back to the city. Just five years later, Selig's dream came true when he purchased the bankrupt Seattle Pilots, relocated the team to his hometown, and renamed them the Milwaukee Brewers.
