L. Darlene Lanka, M.D., has been a practicing obstetrician and gynecologist for thirty years with Kaiser Permanente in Northern California and is an assistant professor at the University of California, San Francisco. She is the former Director of women’s Health at Kaiser-Permanente Medical Center in Walnut Creek, California and two times president of the Easy Bay GYN Society. She is a frequent lecturer and has been interviewed on numerous radio and television program discussing women’s health issues and by KPIX on women’s health legislation in California. Dr. Lanka was awarded the Diablo Soroptimist Societies’ Women Helping women Award.
James E. Huston, M.D., specialized in obstetrics and gynecology before his retirement. He lives in Medford, Oregon. He is a frequent author and speaker on women’s health topics.
Both Dr. Lanka and Dr. Huston have visited Guatemala as participating doctors with the Hospital de la Familia in Guatemala, donating much-needed medical aid for indigenous families.
