Frankie Y. Bailey is an associate professor of criminal justice at the State University of New York–Albany. She is the author of the Lizzie Stuart Mystery series and the Edgar-nominated Out of the Woodpile: Black Characters in Crime and Detective Fiction. She lives in Guilderland, New York.
