About the Author:

A visit to the Garden of the Ford Foundation building in 1970 was the genesis for Nelson Hammer's interest in the arena of interior landscape design. While with The Architects Collaborative in Cambridge, Massachusetts, he furthered his interest and education in this discipline. He has written, taught and lectured extensively in this field while designing projects throughout the United States and the Middle East. His first book, Interior Landscape Design, published by McGraw-Hill in 1992 complements more than fifty articles he has written for national trade publications. He is the founding principal of Hammer Design, a Boston-based landscape architecture firm specializing in interior landscape design.
