About the Author:

For more than 50 years, Charlie Pike has enjoyed paddling smooth streams, and roaring whitewater. While in college, whitewater canoeing became a passion. Wherever he lived, he has enjoyed paddling with whitewater kayaks, rafts, canoes, and sea kayaks.  His diverse adventures include kayaking the Grand Canyon, floating the Allagash River, and canoeing the Stikine River in Alaska and British Columbia. He now lives in Northern California. Before retiring, Charlie developed water efficiency programs.
