This edited volume is the third in a series about the histories of the divisions of the American Psychological Association. Each chapter focuses on the foundation and significant events of a division, and reviews such areas as membership, finances, controversies, and administration. Each chapter is written by a different author--usually someone who is a loyal division member or a founding member. There is a variety of historical styles used by the authors--some present simple chronologies and others provide more critical histories, analyzing how larger trends within psychology shaped, and were shaped by, division events.
