About the Author:

Mark Foster recently retired from the University of Colorado at Denver, where he was a professor of history for 33 years. He grew up in the Chicago area and received his PhD from the University of Southern California. Foster is the author of ten other books, including three biographies. He lives in Denver, Colorado.
