About the Author:

Warren Witherell is a legend in American skiing. His classic book, "How the Racers Ski," has been the definitive work on the carved turn and modern skiing for twenty years. Warren is the founder of Burke Mountain Academy—the ski racing sports academy that placed eleven alumni in the 1992 Winter Olympics. He has been a world champion water skier, is a multi-sport athlete and coach, and brings broad perspectives to his analysis of skiing.

David Evrard, a former professional racer, has taught skiing for fifteen years to students at all ability levels. He is a master bootfitter and builder of orthotics. His knowledge of physiology and sports training enriches all parts of this book.
