ENID PESCHEL is co-director of the Program for Humanities in Medicine and assistant professor (adjunct) of internal medicine at Yale University School of Medicine. RICHARD PESCHEL is professor of therapeutic radiology at Yale University School of Medicine. CAROL W. HOWE is membership chair of the National Alliance for the Mentally Ill Children and Adolescents Network (NAMI CAN) Advisory Council, Arlington, Virginia. JAMES W. HOWE, an economist, was president of the National Alliance for the Mentally Ill (NAMI), Arlington, Virginia, from 1984 to 1986.
