About the Author:

Robert Fulford has been a journalist since he left high school in 1950 to become a junior sports writer. Since then he has written principally on literature and the arts and was, for nineteen years, the editor of Canada's leading monthly magazine, Saturday Night. He has also hosted a radio program for CBC and a television show on TV Ontario and has published a number of books, including This Was Expo, Best Seat in the House, and Accidental City: The Transformation of Toronto. He has received honorary degrees from five universities, the first lifetime achievement award given by the Canadian Journalism Foundatio9ns, as well as the William Kilbourn Award (Toronto Arts Awards) for lifetime achievement. He currently writes for the Globe and Mail, Toronto Life, Canadian Art, and Queen's Quarterly.
