Synopsis

Secrets is a debut young adult and teen novel. I'm intrigued with this community and what they read.  In the four years it took to write, Secrets, I've had the privilege to listen, work, and play with them. They are worldly and intelligent, digitally savvy, socially and politically aware. Their literature is: dark, fantasy, dystopian, competitive, stories riddled with addiction, dysfunction, confusion, heartbreaks, and families burden with tragedies. But it's not all bleak. There's humor, happy endings, triumphants.This story is a labor of love. Love of the research and the evolution of the story, days on end of writing, and the respect for the professionals who coached and cajoled me. And it goes without saying, my experience has been heightened with my teen and young adult relationships.  Secrets is about: Hope.Love.Magic. Secrets are powerful. Embrace them. Thrive from them. 

About the Author:

Kat Tauber is an experienced writer, an international corporate special event producer, public speaker, and culinary instructor. Her work has appeared on her blog, Move Over Stephanie Klein, and in numerous trade publications. A debut novel, she was inspired when an elderly aunt commented, "You never really know your relatives." After completing a NaNoWriMo challenge, Secrets, was born. 
A native of Chicago, Illinois, she received her B.A. in English and History from Texas Christian University, and her M.L.A. from Houston Baptist University. She currently resides in Houston, Texas, without cats or dogs. When not writing, Kat enjoys reading, cooking, and walking on the beach.
