As parents, we all want the same thing: to preserve and foster the loving connection we feel with our children. So why does it so often go wrong? How do we end up feeling like the bad guy? What can we do when we feel the tones changing and the power struggles begin? In a society where so few parents have had the right tools and perspectives to truly connect with their children, we find ourselves to be generations treating our children the exact same ways we said we never would. So how do we break the cycle? How do we change our perspectives? Where can we find the tools our parents were lacking in time to not only use them to connect with our children, but also to set them up to one day connect with children of thier own? Inspired by The Continuum Concept, Unschooling/Rewilding Communities, Peaceful Parenting leaders and writers, and so much more, this book aims to help you better understand yourself and your children. Break the habits and patterns that feel so awful to you as a parent with the fresh perspectives, tools, examples, and scripts you'll find here. Life with your children does not have to be so conflicted and painful. This book is for the part of you that aches to enjoy life side by side with your child, the part that hurts when they hurt and knows there has to be a better way. There is a better way. A way that feels right.
