The numerous species of Sand Crabs that roam our beaches are fascinating little creatures. Their tall eyes are perched high on top of slender stalks. They are like nature’s tiny periscopes, allowing them to peer safely out of their holes. Sand Crabs are a joy to watch. They scurry about at speeds close to 15 feet per second back and forth from their burrows and then peek out to see if it is safe to come out again. Stalk Eyes, a story with an anti-bullying message, is about a special Fiddler Crab with exceptionally tall eyes. With its cast of endearing characters, endless humor, and playful illustrations, Stalk Eyes captures the importance of being kind to others. After being teased at school for being different, Stalk Eyes uses his exceptionality to save the lives of his classmates. It’s true—heroes do come in all shapes and sizes as shown by this special Fiddler Crab! Let’s join together to embrace the importance of individual acceptance. Be kind to everyone around you. They could someday become your hero, too. Visit author's website at: mystalkeyes.com

About the Author:
Ron Sisson had a life-long ambition of writing children's books but did not pursue his dream until after retiring from a 40-year career with General Electric. He began his career at the age of 17 by enrolling in GE's four-year Drafting Apprenticeship Program in Schenectady, NY. After 10 years in drafting, he took leave to attend Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, NY graduating with BSEE and MSEE degrees. During his graduate studies, he worked at GE's Research and Development Center in Schenectady, NY on Satellite Navigation Systems. He then transferred to GE's Mobile Radio Communications Department in Lynchburg, VA for the final 20 years of his career. He held assignments in Bids and Proposals and Project Management on Public Safety Computer Controlled Dispatch Systems. Ron has been an R/C model airplane enthusiast and a life-long avid outdoorsman with a passion for camping, boating and fishing. In his later years, he has enjoyed fishing and model airplanes with his grandchildren as well as fly-fishing for trout in the mountain streams of VA and NC. Ron's dream of writing children's books came true in 2015, when he published Lost on Big Otter River, which received an indieBRAG Gold Medallion award. This is a true story, based on a boating adventure with his children near Lynchburg, VA in 1976. Stalk Eyes is his second children's book, inspired by the playful antics of "Ghost" sand crabs, common on the beautiful east coast beaches of Florida. He resides in the beachside community of Indialantic, FL with his wife Madeline, a retired Brevard County elementary school teacher. His children and grandchildren continue to reside in VA.
