About the Author:
Allison F. Speer is a former journalist, earning a number of awards for investigative reporting and feature writing in both Connecticut and Texas. After working at a nationally renowned zoo, she turned to a teaching career and has been teaching 3rd and 4th grade reading and writing since 2009. She is the mother of five and lives with her family in Fort Worth, Texas.
