I wrote this book for my teams and for other project managers who want to give more to and get more from of their project experiences. Over the years, the teams I have worked alongside have experimented with me, educated me, patiently guided me through various types of project and shown me how motivation and engagement can make - or break a project. More than anything, they have shown me how at the end of the day projects are about people more than process. Great people can overcome poor process - but a great process can never make up for disengaged people. 
Writing the book was challenging, exciting and daunting in equal parts, and it was a wonderful opportunity to relive some of the best moments in my project management career to date and to tie those moments to the evidence-based learning and techniques that made them possible. I hope this book will help other project managers achieve in a few weeks what it has taken me a lifetime to discover through training, reading, trial, and error, and experimentation. Be Hopeful, Be Strong, Be Brave, Be Curious!
