Writing this book was an adventure for me. Not only was it the first book, but I broke all of the rules of normal book writing methodology, and instead employed a radical style that I don't recommend for anyone. Seriously. 

Most Authors would normally outline a plot of some sort. They would make notes on character names, how those characters would be introduced to the plot line, a back story for those characters to help frame their thinking and who they are as individuals. They would brainstorm twists to the story line, and problems that will crop up and force the characters to overcome.

And that methodology would be correct. That is how it should be done. But that is certainly not how I did it.

Instead, I sat down at the keyboard with no clear direction. I thought I could envision a very general and loose plot line. By the end of the first chapter, those silly thoughts were long gone. Each sentence that was written, led to the next sentence. Each twist and turn happened organically. Unforced. Following no rules. Conversations happened on their own, with each character prompting the reply from the next character.

Twists and sudden direction changes, and obstacles for the characters to deal with, suddenly appeared in the next paragraph.

I was quite literally, along for the ride.

When I got to the end of the chapter, I was always of unsure of how to start the next. I would stare at the page for a second,then I would simply choose a first sentence and go. As soon as I did, it just began to flow again until I got to the end.

Now I have enough reviews to know that this process made for a great book. Even if I did do it completely wrong. It may notwork for others, but it apparently works for me. Especially for this type of genre. If I were writing a fantasy novel, I would have to go through the laborious process of inventing an entire world and all of the rules that make it function. 
But this genre is decidedly less complicated. You open to the first page, strap yourself in, and allow yourself to be carried away on an adventure. It is probably the only reason my unorthodox style works.

For whatever the reason, I am convinced that if you like Action / Thriller / Adventure novels, you will like this book. DJ Slaughter may become your new favorite hero. I know he is mine.

                    Best Books Blogs - "This is the first book ever for this new author, and one would expect to see some clumsiness in the dialogue, plot, storytelling, etc. After all, those types of things are learned over the course of time. Well I can only say, Holy Crap... If this was the first book ever for this new author, and we can expect they will get better the further he goes, then everyone is going to know who he is in just a couple of years. Yes. It is that good. If you are fan of this genre, you will love this story. The characters are enjoyable. In fact, while DJ is considered the main character, I loved the two others that make up the supporting cast equally. If you're a fan of Jack Reacher, Mitch Rapp, Tom Clancy, or John Wick, you're going to love this book. The real question is, what producer will turn it into the next blockbuster movie?"
