Her first YA romantic fantasy The Promise:Children of Annwn is the first in a trilogy about Mia Leronde and Ryder Blackwood who are from the mythological realm of Annwn where falling in love comes with a price. As a teenager, she loved romance and read stories, by Dame Barbara Cartland. After reading her books, she fell in love with the certainty of the happy ever after stories she created. Her reading tastes have grown since then and vary from Nora Roberts, Catherine Cookson and Jane Austen to Jodi Picoult, Deborah Harkness, Cassandra Clare, Suzanne Collins, P.D.James, and more including non-fiction. She developed a thirst for writing rather late in life but is ever thankful that she made such a fulfilling discovery.
