‘Bhakti Padavali’ is a collection of 105 devotional lyrics written in simple, effortless, direct and easy to absorb language, spoken mostly by the villagers residing in the Awadhi-speaking belt of Northern India. These Padas (or the lyrics written in Kavitta Chhand) are the spontaneous sobbing and silent outpourings of a devotee’s heart meant only to be listened to by his Lord in rapt attention and complete silence. These Padas are not meant to be read aloud like a Petition in a King’s Court; rather they are supposed to be studied in profound silence and silent profundity by the King Himself in his retiring room where there is nobody to disturb his peace of mind and privacy of place. The content of these Padas is extremely personal, confidential, private and exclusive.

About the Author:

‘Raghav Dwivedi’ born in a small and little-known village ‘Kunwarpur Basith’ of Hardoi district in U.P. (India) is a farmer by profession. A true inheritor of his pedigree, he has been bequeathed with profound devotion and an unflinching faith in the lotus-feet of Lord Shri Ram. Carrying forward the rich legacy and varied heritage of his forefathers, he is engaged in cultivating not only crops but also devotional poems both in English and Hindi. Raghav is more apt to introduce himself as a petty servant of Lord Ram than anything else in this world. “Lord Ram” says Raghav, “is my Master, my Mentor, my Mother, my Beloved and much more than all these combined together. He is my all and I am only His.”
