About the Author:

The author is a monk-priest at the Abbey of New Clairvaux. He entered religious life in 1944 as a Christian Brother of Ireland; a monk since 1959, a priest for 40 years, and a hermit from 1985-2005. He authored Don’t You Belong to Me? by Paulist Press, and The Hermit Bird’s Song, at the printer. He’s a Spiritual Director since 1968, with BA and STM degrees. He is certified in Spiritual Direction and MBTI. He has been professor of theology and philosophy for 20 years; conducted parish missions and retreats in the 1980’s. Presently, he does private and group spiritual direction at the Abbey.
