From the Author:
When I began this work I intended to change people, but the more I wrote I learned I too had much to learn and grow. There is no doubt that God will use PGG to teach his children everywhere to mature in knowledge and faith as it does for me and my students right now. For the last two years of sleepless nights in writing, after restless days in teaching, I felt like it would never end, but now when I look back it was like just one fine day the Lord Jesus has walked with me. I will continue to strive to improve PGG, but for now I am letting it go, for those who will find truth and treasure in PGG. Thus, this is my due service to my Lord Jesus Christ, and I dedicate this book to him, whom I love the most. May his name be blessed forever and ever. Amen.
From the Inside Flap:
Today for the New Testament there are more than thirty different versions in English translation alone. Churches and seminaries voice if knowing Greek is still necessary. They believe most versions are quite accurate, but we must also concern for the full understanding of the text besides accurate understanding of it. Knowing Greek and reading the Bible in the original language is much more than reading words in a book, because it allows a meeting and conversation with the original author of the Book. Thus, the main objective of translation is not only putting words into your own language but to revive the full spectrum of dynamics and meanings from the past to the present context.

Emerson once said that the man who reads a book in a strange tongue when he can have a good translation, is a fool. But a philosopher responded that indeed he is a fool who is satisfied with a substitute when he can have the original. Eminent Professor Philip Lindsley said to his students: "One of the best preparations for death is a thorough knowledge of the Greek grammar." Erasmus confessed boldly before his Greek New Testament: "Even if the Lord would stand in front of me I may not recognize him for I already have One." Thus, Progressive Greek Grammar is a comprehensive guide designed for every soul.
