Still in a School Daze recounts some "stand out" moments in my teaching career. Rather than just write them in a diary form, I've written something I learned from these experiences as well. At the end of each short piece, there are verses from "My Favorite Book (the Bible) which I felt pertained to the situation or to what I had learned from it. Hopefully, my experiences will be helpful to any teacher as he or she walks along the path of educating.

About the Author:
Born in Denver Colorado, and transplanted at an early age to Los Angeles, California where I attended public school and graduated from Washington High School. I am a graduate of Biola University in La Mirada, California where I majored in art and education. I am married and have three children and three grandchildren. I taught public school for thirty-two years in La Mirada and Alta Loma, California. Two of my other books have been published; Mother Teresa, at Chelsea Press in New York, and We All Love Dr. Virginia, a biography about Dr. Virginia Kauffman, a medical missionary in Africa. I have had short articles published in two different magazines, and two sidebars in More Than a Parade, the Spirit and Passion Behind the Pasadena Tournament of Roses, by Stephens Press. I write a monthly blog entitled friendjoanie.
