Four months after the Classtoria returns with Phoenix to the Hyperion sun system and the planet Darlon, Captain Terry Dankin is assigned his first research mission. But what was supposed to be a simple mission to explore biological and geological aspects of the planet Varasay, the Phoenix runs headlong into an ancient enemy and planetary harvesters, the Parakon. The same enemy that destroyed Captain Darlon's homeworld of Shaleen over twelve hundred years ago. Bent on harvesting planetary resources to strengthen their vast empire in order to protect a mysterious blue, hyper-dwarf star, the Parakon set their sites on Phoenix. Captain Dankin, with the aide of Captain Narell aboard the Heraway, fight off a Parakon scout ship, but then are suddenly faced with the massive and powerful mothership, the Kloose. Despite being greatly outgunned and outsized, Captain Dankin and his crew aboard the Phoenix must insure the Kloose is destroyed before the Parakon find, and harvest, his new home, Darlon.

About the Author:
Michael Smith is a resident of Venice, Florida and has been a lifelong fan of science fiction. The Pilgrimage of the Phoenix started as a book called The Black Divide over eight years ago and has slowly morphed into what it is today. Books 1 & 2 total 50K words and now that the tale is told, he's hoping either Spielberg or Lucas will give him a call about movie rights. Hey, dream big or go home!
