These sixteen true stories about dogs and love will warm the hearts of dog lovers and grinches alike. Some will bring a smile to your lips, others may bring a tear to your eye, but all will bring you to a closer appreciation of man's best friend. Perhaps you will recognize some of the dogs you have loved as you read about the pain of losing a faithful pet, or laugh about the absurdity of dressing a little dog in a corduroy coat. From the dog blinded by an acid-throwing neighbor, to the abandoned hound that made a family whole, these stories are about the importance of dogs in the emotional lives of humans. A portion of the proceeds of this sale will go to rescue dog programs.

About the Author:
I write. I cook. I love my dogs. I live in a log home built with reclaimed logs - they were hewn by hand over 100 years ago and are rich with adz marks and random pegs and notches. My kitchen, on page 89 of Authentic Log Homes, is my favorite place to be. When my husband had open-heart surgery at the age of 34, I changed the way I cooked. The result was The Gorgeless Gourmet's Cookbook - practically fat-free recipes for super-busy people. That cookbook sold 10,000 copies and the fourth printing will be released this spring. My new ebook, Dogs and Love - Stories of Fidelity, shows the emotional connection between dogs and their humans. I wish I could be half the person my dogs think I am.
Review:
"In each of these short essays, Ms. Ferris makes readers laugh (My Dog is a Slut) and cry both tears of sadness and relief (The Lost Mother Dog), but also make us reflect about the beauty and surprises that life  brings us.Dogs and Love - Stories of Fidelity is a mere 41 pages and it will take less than an hour to read, but each essay will stay with you deep in your heart for hours, days, months, and years--just like a cherished dog."Rebeca Schiller - Alvah's Booksalvahsbooks.com
