Gigi Taylor Schweikert is a national authority in early childhood education. As an expert in this field, Gigi has managed corporate childcare centers and their educational programs for over eighteen years. Gigi was the Director of the Early Childhood Education at United Nations in New York City and was also the cable television host of Today's Family. She also presents national, state, and local workshops for parents, teachers and corporations. Gigi lives in New Jersey with her husband and four children.

Introduction

You are a good mother. Even though you may not always feel like a good mother or act like a good mother -- especially at the end of a long day -- God has chosen to give you a child. God sees that "good mother" in you even when you can't. But He didn't just drop that baby on your doorstep promising to check back when he or she is all grown up. No, God is always right beside you -- whether you're rocking your child during a sleepless night, standing over his bed when he's sick, or watching her score the winning goal on the soccer field.

As you read through this book of daily devotions, affirm the good mother you are by putting a star on the chapters in which you already excel. Then build on your successes by setting goals for the Today activities. (Right now your biggest goal may be fitting a shower into your day.)
