In contemporary linguistics, both cognitive and critical approaches to language have been elaborated in some detail. About the Author:
Christopher Hart is a Lecturer in English Language and Communication at the University of Hertfordshire. He is author of Analysing Immigration Discourse: A Cognitive Approach (forthcoming) and co-editor of the journal Critical Approaches to Discourse Analysis across Disciplines. Dominik Lukes is a translator, educator and researcher in linguistics and education. He is co-editor of the online journal Critical Approaches to Discourse Analysis across Disciplines.
