From Booklist:
At first blush, this how-to card-crafting guide appears to be the same as its predecessors--except, of course, for the slew of projects (45, to be exact). Yet there is a difference. Instead of relying on innate artistic talents, whether that includes wielding scissors or heat-embossing tool, crafters can easily copy the pattern templates, many full size, featured. In fact, many follow a primitive, almost naive contemporary style, so even freehand illustrations will result in good--looking greetings cards. Plus, many of the materials used can be purchased from a neighborhood office supply store, for example, price tags and simple rubber stamps. In addition to the usual introductory discourse on supplies, tools, and special techniques, Baskett and Donley, thanks to their and other artists' contributions, truly cover the holiday needs, from birthdays and graduations to American-founded celebrations like Valentine's and Mom's days.
